On 14 September, Gemma González and José Manuel Muñoz, founders of Srta. Rottenmeier Estudio de Arquitectura, attended the presentation of the Los 100 Leones de la Arquitectura y el Diseño 2026 recognitions in Madrid, an initiative by Shameless Agency together with EL ESPAÑOL and Magas.

Held at Club Babylon in Teatro Magno, the celebration brought together professionals and studios from different generations. For our Murcia-based architecture and interior design studio, it was an evening to celebrate our journey and share it with others for whom this profession is also a way of seeing the world.

The panel featured Carlos Lamela, César Frías of Morph, and Julio Touza, moderated by David García Núñez. The future of the profession, generational change and opportunities for emerging talent were among the themes of the evening. Other guests included Ramón Esteve, Alejandra Pombo and representatives of L35 Architects.

We were particularly happy to spend most of the evening with our friends Espe and Pablo from Leca&Leco, and to reconnect with Mariana from Paccieri Studio, a former classmate of José Manuel’s at MArch Valencia. Between conversations and reunions, there was time for something our schedules do not always allow: being together and celebrating each other’s work.

We welcome this recognition with joy and return to the studio with the same high standards. Behind every home and space we design are countless decisions, revisions and details that are rarely seen but are felt by the people who use them. Seeing that dedication acknowledged in a national selection encourages us to keep caring for every project.

Thank you to EL ESPAÑOL, Magas and Shameless Agency for this recognition; to our team, for upholding those standards every day; and to the clients who trust us to shape the way they live and work.
